Goa Revolution Day
To commemorate the historic significance of Goa Revolution Day, our school Chubby Cheeks Spring Valley High School organized a series of engaging and educational activities on 18th June 2025. The celebration aimed to instil a sense of patriotism and awareness among students about Goa’s struggle for liberation from Portuguese rule.
The day began with a special morning assembly dedicated to the occasion. It included:
A thought-provoking article on the significance of Goa Revolution Day, highlighting key moments from the movement led by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia. Students of Grade 6th and 7th sung a patriotic song. A street play (Nukkad Natak) was performed by students of Grade 9. The play portrayed the events of the 18th June 1946 revolt, emphasizing the courage and unity of the Goan people.
In addition, various class-wise activities were conducted:
Grade 5 and 6 participated in a Slogan Writing activity on the theme “Goa Revolution.” Grade 7 and 8 took part in a Poster Making competition. Grade 9 and 10 engaged in an Essay Writing competition on the topic “The Importance of Goa Revolution Day. A Quiz Competition was conducted for the Grade 7 to 10
The entire day was filled with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The celebration served as a reminder of the sacrifices made for freedom and inspired students to become responsible citizens of the country.
