Students of Std 10 and 11 attended the World Wetland Day Celebration at Savlem- Pilerne, which is a notified wetland in the vicinity of the school. The Chief Guest for the event was Hon Minister Alexio Sequiera who spoke on the need to conserve wetlands and that it is everybody’s duty to commit to protect the wetland from pollution. Dignitaries on the dais included Mr. Kedar Naik (MLA), Sarpanch, Dy Sarpanch amidst a few others. The students were made aware of the importance of wetlands , the different migratory birds that come to the lake and why it is beneficial. The students had a wonderful experience.
